Note: The Trinity Knot, which is also named Triquetra, has many significations. It symbolises Life, Death, and Rebirth but also in Celtic symbolism it represents: Earth, Sea and Sky. This never ending knot also represents the eternal cycle of Life. Others see in it the symbol of eternal Love. Finally, we can find the Trinity Knot in medieval manuscripts such as the well-known Book of Kells (from the Irish Abbaye of Kells). The Christians used this knot as symbol of the Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit).
Now, the Trinity knot is often used in the design of engagement & wedding rings and other jewellery to symbolise respect, protection and eternal love for couples!
